New ReviewerMy experience has not been a good one. I placed this order back on October 4, 2021.
A total of four items for a good sum of money. Not only were the items delivered one by one and on back order, but WestElm never really contacted me to say, apologies for the delay, we are working on this.nothing. Three months later, a very dry email saying: most of this order is in back order. Sorry.
Then, one day, out-the-blue on October 10, the chair, the first item, arrived at my billing address.
I was surprised but attached it to human error. Nonetheless, I had to spend 500$ out of pocket to send it to the correct address. Ive since called multiple times to make sure that the address is correct. And it was fortunate I called again because guess what?
In December, the sofa was headed yet again, to the wrong address.
Ok, on to the bed, and 5 months later. Same situation,
I have called a total of 15+ times to multiple companies and parties. West Elm, William Sonoma, Scheduling and who knows what other departments.
Which brings me to March 25. The last item was supposed to have been delivered between 2 and 4pm.
But around 12, I received an email that it has been cancelled. No explanation, nothing. It is now 2 o'clock. And after talking to three different people, I still wait for confirmation if this will indeed be delivered or not.
Many emails later to April 15, I called today, guess what...thats right...nothing yet.
I would like to add that everyone I have spoken with has been very professional and knowledgeable. And while no customer should have to call the vendor this many times, at least the calls have not been bad.
It seems to me that the companies or the systems are not communicating with each other. And from where I am standing as a customer, it looks like a big old mess.
Thank you, P
