West Elm - Price Adjustments
Hello:
I purchased a rug at a West Elm store (Chelsea) in New York 10 days ago.
And i recently checked online on westelm.com for other products but when i looked for the same rug (color & size) that the one I bought and saw that its price was marked down by at least 20%.
i called customer service and they said that my only option would be to return the rug for a full refund and then buy the same one at the discounted price.
it is clearly not practical to do that, especially for a rug - i would strongly advise prospective customers to go shopping somewhere else ....until they change their price adjustment policies - welcome to the 21st century.
sincerely yours,
hugues

total bs - POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.
This makes perfect sense. While there is a logical limit, price changes a day or two after purchase should be honored.
I just bought a rug from west elm and when I saw the tag was from another vendor I looked for it online and found it for $1000 less on overstock.com.. And West Elm won't price match it!!!
I'm So annoyed...but now I'm going to return the rug back to west elm and buy the same exact one from overstock...
I agree. West Elm changes prices to negate a lot of their discounts, too! I purchased from joy bird instead, no dishonesty in their prices!
I totally agree!!!!!!! Not going to buy West elm products anymore!!!! People should stop buying their products, or otherwise they will be pissed by their customer service.
My fiance and I ordered 2 rugs, a large media console, and a duvet from West Elm on Tuesday night. On Wednesday morning they started advertising a store wide sale which would've given us 25% our purchase of over $1,000.
I called customer service and was told that they no longer do price adjustments.
So basically they siad, "It's too *** bad that you missed our sale by less than 12 hours. We really care." Needless to say I will never be shopping at West Elm again.
cancel the order and reorder?
