West Elm - Horrible!

West Elm - Horrible!
We bought the Crosby couch several years ago. From the beginning the backs of the chaise and the sofa were not aligned. The angles they were built at differ by about 5 degrees. The buttons on the cushions immediately began to pull through. I tried to secure them with no luck. We have 3 buttons left and my daughter began to put them in her mouth and can pull them out so I made the decision to remove all of them. This has left the couch looking lumpy and just horrible. Not too mention the whole thing squeaks when you sit! Over this disaster of a couch.

I bought a West Elm Crosby sofa a little over three years ago. It looked really good in the store -- I certainly can't deny that. And for about 6 months it also looked really good in my house. Then the problems started. First, my original sofa cushion became deflated,...

West Elm in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania - Crosby sofa

I have sofa for 4 to 5 years. It is not used a lot, but it looks like it’s 30 years old. The colors are faded. It was a charcoal grey, now is light grey. I sent the photos to the customer service and they asked for the order number and such. I don’t have this information. It is a shame because they have a great design but quality is questionable.

I bought a Crosby sofa from West Elm after it turned out that my beloved Room & Board Clarke sofa was too big to get into my new apartment. I loved the look, which had the same scale and mid-century modern vibe. Within 6 months, the main full-length cushion looked like...

I had the same exact situation, except less than 1 year in, I started seeing that it was terrible - I thought it was just me, or well, thats how they made it out to be. Mine started creaking, the fabric was completely appalling, the comfort level was utter crap.

It was just so cumbersome to get up the stairs, I actually think West Elm should pay for its removal. I ended up getting a full credit for it b/c beyond the horrific product, I had horrible customer service, and I was just going to have AMEX reverse the charges at that point. I go out of my way now to make sure no one I know falls for West Elm again.

From what I know, even the president of West Elm at the time was a mess, and known for poor taste and management. If the stores, call centers, and product are this bad - it's got to stink from the top.
