West Elm - Worst Customer Service EVER!
I ordered a $1500 bed in October. They kept changing the delivery date , but never once notified me.
I had to keep checking myself. End of December and they tell me they will give me a discount when I get the bed. t finally arrives on January 3rd. I have hired a handyman to put it together.
Of course even thought it clearly states on the order the WILL NOT SHIP WITHOUT ALL PARTS. So I have to pay my guy to return when the other box comes. The wood on this $1500 bed which is just Wood and brackets is damaged . (The Floyd Bed).
They tell me they will refund me a 30% discount . I really didn't feel like going through ordering another bed at this point so I agreed. Every week I wait for my refund. ....and wait and call and get a stupid excuse every time.
I'm paying interest on this keep in mind. They agree to send me $100 gift card for my troubles which I stated I'd rather get that on my credit card but they would not do that so I said fine. I'll give it as a gift because I'll never buy another thing from them. I get the gift card but still no refund.
I'm about to lose my mind at this point . They owe me $435 . Finally this Supervisor tells me that no one was authorized to offer me that much and she will have to do some training. Up to this point I've been extremely patient as I speak to a different person every time and realize it's not their fault but this woman really pissed me off.
It is not my problem that it wasn't authorized. It's in my notes and it should have been taken care of in January . She asks in a snippy way if I want to just return the bed for a refund so I said yes. Then the bed is picked up in a few days and the new drama begins.
I have to keep calling about my refund and hear stupid excuses about how this person and that person didn't sign off on it. Then I get a refund LESS THE 30% they NEVER GAVE ME!! I had to call AGAIN to resolve that issue. It took until March to get this all done.
Oh and they CANCELLED out the $100 gift card they sent me. DO NOT BUT FROM WEST ELM which is also POTTERY BARN and WILLIAM SONOMA.
